Pickup Alnico

Which guitar pickup should I get?
I am making a replica of a les paul guitar (mahogany body, maple neck) and I want to put a semour duncan alnico pro II pickup for the neck position what pickup should I get for the bridge position
I want something that will sound really good with lots of distortion
I really like slash and angus young’s sound
I was thinking about putting the semour duncan alnico pro II pickup as the neck and the gibson 57 classic as the bridge pickup…good idea or no?
If you want to get an incredibly authentic sounding tone that replicates a 1959 PAF Les Paul pickup I would look no further than Bare Knuckle Pickup’s ‘The Mule’.
It is absolutely fantastic.
It may be pricey but it will make almost any guitar sound great.

Edit: If you do want to use a Gibson 57 Classic I would suggest putting it in the neck and the Seymour Duncan in the bridge, the 57 Classic is more suited to mellower sounds rather than the sharp bite of a bridge pickup.
