Is the power booster on an old gm supposed to have a hissing noise for a couple seconds after shutting off?

Just replaced the most trechorous brake line from master cylinder to combination valve, but one back brake stops, try to get front working. The pedal goes to the floor to about a quarter of an inch thenjust starts to brake but cant get front or left back tires to brake. The power assist might be leaking a little but i’m guessing it is the master cylinder.

No the booster shouldnt hiss at all.. Sounds like the oneway check valve or rubber seal is leaking.. Look at the fitting where vac hose goes.. Pull that fitting out.. Its a check valve.

Also sounds like you still have air in your brake system, try bleeding it more
