What is causing a bright light to eminate from Mono Island in the Soloman sea.?

It’s strange but true. A bright light is eminating from the north westerly side of Mono Island, even causing a rainbow affect. This can be seen with Google earth

According to Google Earth that photo was taken 05/05/2007.
The rainbow effect is pretty interesting and quite nice.
From ground level a rainbow is diffused light passing through raindrops.
Perhaps what you see is a “rainbow”, or diffused light, from the high camera angle. With the proper rain or fog with the right light angle you could get a prism effect.
