what is the difference between a single ply pickguard and a 3 ply pickguard in a guitar?
i was just wondering because im going to buy an electric guitar, i just wanted to know the difference.
It’s pretty much just cosmetic. A 3-ply pick guard usually has 2 colors of material sandwiching a second color.
A 3-ply is thicker, and theoretically will last longer. They’re also a little more resistant to warping.
