Neck Pickup
What effect would a telecaster neck pickup have if i put it on the bridge of my stratocaster?
would it alter the sound of my strat? would it stay the same? please explain
It would change the sound, since it’s the pickups that are largely responsible for each guitar’s tone. Telecasters are known for their thin, twangy tone (that’s why so many country guitarists play Teles), whereas Stratocasters have a more blues-based sound. If you installed the Tele pickup, you’d have the Tele sound when you switched to the bridge pickup, alone, and your combination settings (where you use multiple pickups at the same time) would be significantly altered, as well, since you’d be introducing twang to the mix.
