Hot Alnico
Which pickups are better?
Alnico pickups or hot b brand pickups
I have never used “hot b” pickups so I do not know how they sound. As I have stated, alnico is a type of magnet used in the construction of many various pickups. They are commonly uses in Gibson style humbuckers and are great for rock and blues. Do some research on the other brand and find out who makes them, what materials they use, etc.
My absolute favorite pickup is the Seymour Duncan JB model. Great tone! Plenty of power and sustain, great harmonic content. The Two major guitar pickup manufacturers are Seymour Duncan and Dimarzio. There are many more but these two are tops in the trade. Both have many various pickup types including alnico.
