In general, do grand concert style guitars cost less than grand auditoriums?
and the only major difference between them is that the grand auditorium is louder and bigger, and in terms of sound they both sound similar, right?
They typically cost the same since the only difference is a slight difference in the amount of wood used. An auditorium is bigger and therefore louder but it’s difficult to make any other characterizations about their sound. I think if you compared a Martin 00-18 (grand concert size) to a Martin 000-18 (auditorium) all things being equal I think you’d find their sound – in terms of tonal balance, warmth, brightness, and so on – reasonably similar.
