Settings for a danelectro fab overdrive pedal?
I recently got a danelectro fab overdrive pedal, because it was cheap and had good reviews. I’ve had trouble making it sound good. It definately makes my guitar sound more distorted, but it is way too noisy and it makes my playing sound terrible. Could anyone give me some settings that would sound distorted an less chaotic?
My guitar has a tone knob and volume
The amp has Tone Volume and gain
the pedal has overdrive tone and level

Try this video for some suggestions on the pedal setting.
A couple other things, not really just the pedal. If you are using an overdrive pedal, you want to play it through a clear channel on your amp (no distortion and no gain). You control the amount of gain and distortion by using the pedal controls (leave the amp’s gain and distortion off).
