Control Knobs
When do I need to touch flow control knob?
I’m a first-timer fish owner so sorry for this question if it sounds stupid: what is the use of a flow control knob on the fish tank filter? Its guide asks me to set it to “maximum”, but doesn’t tell when I need to adjust it.
Depends on the brand you are using as all filters are different.
I would set the flow to maximum as the instructions suggest as the greater the flow, the greater the airation in the water. Which is better for your fish and for when you add more fish as they all need a certain amount of oxygen in the water to breath and live comfortably.
You won’t need to readadjust the control knob at all. Leave it on maximum.
