What are the differences between the kitchen aid stand mixers artisan series and classic?

is there a difference or do they do the same thing

The Classic has a 4-1/2 quart bowl and 250 Watt motor. The Artisian has optional 5 or 6 quart bowls, 325 Watt motor and many accessories for doing more than just mixing. You are talking over $100 difference in price, but well worth it if you use it a lot.
