Bridge Neck
What’s the best humbucker pickup for a strat?
I’m looking for a bit of Les Paul sound in it, just for some of the more aggressive sounding rock. And what would be the right place to put it(bridge, neck, middle)? Thanks!

A Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates would be a good choice. Putting the humbucker in the bridge position would be appropriate. Fender makes models of the Stratocaster that have a humbucker. Those have it at the bridge position and are referred to as an HSS pickup configuration.. Unless you have a vintage reissue type body, the pickup cavity will be routed to accept a humbucker. You will have no trouble with the pickguard. There are many HSS cut pickguards for the Strat.
You can forget about the answer suggesting a P-90. A P-90 is a single coil pickup and does not sound like a humbucker. It is a wide shaped pickup. A P-90 will not fit on a Strat unless you enlarge the pickup cavity quite a bit. You would also have to have a custom cut pickguard made. They don’t make those pickguards because a P-90 is too wide to fit on a Strat pickguard.
