the hofner icon series beatle bass guitar costs 370 dollars. the hofner 500/1 bass guitar costs around 2000 dollars. why is there such a huge difference of the price if they look identical? does the more expensive one have better sound or something. Anything helps. best answer gets 10 points. they look the same.

The Hofner 500/1 Bass will have a way better playing feel, it’ll sound better, and it will be way more cool and authentic looking up close. The tone quality will be different, and when you plug it in the sound will be beautiful. Also, the plugs, pegs, and bridge won’t break as easily on the more expensive one.
