Tube amp VS Model AMP?
Oh wise one: Is it better to have a cheap tube amp or a Solid State amp with a VSTi modeler that can emulate tubes and many types of amps? They’re about the same price. Thank you.
What cheap tube amp are you referring to? If you are doing cover songs and trying to emulate the original then I would suggest a ” modeling” amp. If you are looking for your own ” sound” then play through everything you can. good Luck, and Happy New Year!
I personally like tube amps over ” modelers” but that’s just my opinion.
